nnn hnnnnnnn

as of 5:50 pm yesterday, it was supposed to be the weekend, but it really hasn't made a difference. i'm at work and after this i'm going to do some lithography. la-dee freakin daa. i'd really just like to sit in my 85 degree apartment and do anything else. but no. i'm going to get my work done now that it's snowing. bummer, i say. i think what's getting to me most is that i feel like i'm at school the most, but have the least to show for it. i know. quality over quantity. but what about when both suck? building a portfolio in the next year or so? i dont waaannnaaaaaaa. i guess it is kind of a sensitive subject for me, feeling like all i'm doing is wasting my time...BUT

i couldn't have said it better myself. not much is new. i have to get word on the austin show that took place last week. i cant wait until you get back (and by back, i mean get HERE). i had a dream last night that we were all at the power trio headquarters and it was a fantastical time. we were wearing sweaters and baking christmas sugar cookies. i think that's what they call "warm and fuzzy." too bad i woke up and realized neither of you are here this weekend. THANKS!!! i got the funniest note while i was being important and intellectual with an artist friend of mine. the note read... "the subway is a porno." and for those of you who dont know, those are lyrics from an interpol song. it was so funny, that i snotted a little, but i guess that song has an entirely new meaning. you would.

reason to celebrate

As sleepy as I am right now, I think there are a couple reasons to celebrate. First and foremost, class was cancelled. A 3-5:50 class. The only class I have today. Or don’t have, in this case. Somebody sing and dance with me. but like a slower not so hyped up dance. something that a tired me can handle. like old people dancing.

Other than that, I got my first art show. One of my best friends hooked me up. It’s in Austin, Texas. There are some pretty bad butt artists involved (I’m not swearing for this month and it’s even funnier this way). Here’s the flyer for the show...

Uh, yeah. It is.

I refuse to be completely “gung ho” about the show because I know my painting is still a bajillion miles away and the show hasn’t actually happened yet. As I get closer to mailing my first born out, I am getting happier and happier about it. It’s the kind of happy that makes you laugh for no good reason though. Everything overall is just funny. Kind of like this…

How does someone NOT laugh at that? Anyways, I’ve been up since 8 and I know there’s no way I’m getting to bed before 2, but everything will work its way out. I woke up at 8 on a day I don’t have class (!!!) to build a crate in the woodshop for this painting. I’m not going to act like I did very much though. Disney really did most of the work and showed me how to do it for next time. I owe him. So, yeah. Those are really the reasons to celebrate and now that I’ve written them down I don’t see how someone else would find these very celebratory. I’m at work for another hour and I’m just fartin’ around. The music kids are kind of snobbier than the art kids. I’m just saying. I’m just saying. Time for some extreme collaging.
